Mud Run

Perhaps my Mother read my blog or something, but anyway, she took me to the seaside at Southend in Essex to support pupils and teachers from her school who were taking part in the Little Havens Mud Run. The weather was fantastic, and it was so inspiring to see such a huge group of people working together for this very worthy cause.
So... Southend can now be ticked off my "to visit" list. To be honest though, it's not the nicest seaside I've been to. My favourite is of course St Andrews. Tentsmuir is second, Anstruther third, Southport fourth, Lido fifth, because the weather was just amazing. Brighton beach is my second least favourite, and unfortunately, Southend would come last. Aside from the Mud Run, there was just no beach vibe there at all. It was just water (questionable whether it's actually sea water also!), mud and people trying to tan. Nevertheless, it was still a really good day, and I think it did me a lot of good to go to the "sea"side again.
